Introduction:
Medical Exchange Program (MEP)
is a bilateral program
between EAIMS and other international medical & dental
organizations, aiming to promote understanding and
cooperation amongst students, doctors and all health
professionals allover the world through more than
50 exchange-training clinical clerkships for foreign and
Egyptian candidates.
B-
Exchange Conditions:
1-
Level of Studies: Certified Undergraduate Clinical
Clerkship. Allowed students: Medical students of the 3,4,5
& Emtiaz years - Dental students of final & 3rd year only
– Students with average Academic Grade Excellent or Very
Good. NB: Medical Students who traveled twice before with
EAIMS are not allowed. Dental Students who traveled once
before with EAIMS are not allowed.
2-
Available Medical/Dental
Fields: All medical & dental fields are available.
Legally, trained applicants will be Observers.
3-
Training Language: English, (German is a must for
Pediatrics, Emergency, Psychiatry in Germany & Austria).
4-
Duration of Clerkship: one calendar month (4 weeks),
(8 working hours daily from 7am-3pm, 5 days a week & 2
days weekend Saturday and Sunday).

NB2: Mixed Nationality= Egyptian + American, Canadian or
European nationalities.
NB3: Fees differ according to the country. They are 600
euro in average, and mostly divided into: (60% Accommodation -
20% Paperwork Fees - 20% EAIMS Administration Fees).
NB4: Emtiaz Girls only can choose between: Graz Nov,
Vienna Nov & Canada Nov.
NB5: Canada extra documents: Free chest X-ray, vaccination
certificates, Medical Malpractice Insurance (~ 1000 USD),
signed and stamped McMaster University Forms.
6-
Accommodation Abroad (4 weeks):
-
At the University hostel mainly or at an equivalent hostel
or hotel according to availability.
- Applicant must sign an individual contract with the
accommodation place. About 200 Euro refundable insurance
fee must be paid upon arrival to the accommodation place.
The insurance fee will not be refunded if the
accommodation place left damaged, unclean or unorganized
or key is lost.
7-
Meals Abroad (Optional):
- Meals are subjected for personal variations. Therefore
meals are excluded from the budget.
- Meals are provided at the University restaurants at very
low prices (2-3 euro in average per meal).
8-
Special Remarks:
(1)
Medical Exchange Program (MEP) applicants
should be good representatives for their sending country,
faculty & organization. Also MEP applicants should respect
the morals and tradition of the hosting country, faculty,
hospital, organization and accommodation place.
(2)
Any unaccepted behavior done by the MEP
applicant, will be a direct cause for termination of the
training and accommodation program by hosting faculty and
organization.
(3)
MEP applicants will lose their
accommodation insurance fees (200 Euro) if they left their
accommodation place damaged, unclean or unorganized or key
is lost.
(4)
MEP applicants will afford the cost of
their plane tickets, transport, meals & outings. In case
of early arrival before the beginning of the clinical
clerkship, MEP applicants shall be responsible for their
personal board and lodging. Same applies in case they
extend their stay after the clinical clerkship. Any
company with MEP applicants (e.g. a relative or a friend)
shall be responsible for his/her personal board and
lodging.
(5)
MEP applicants will be received at faculty
of training abroad by an official representative.
(6)
MEP applicants should attend not less than
80% of the training program days in order to get the
training certificate. Each applicant must provide a
hospital proof of attendance every week to the hosting
organization otherwise the training and accommodation
program will be terminated.

Faculty
6- Copy of travel health insurance coverage
7- Copy of First 4 pages of Passport Valid till 7 months
after travel at least. Issuing New Passport
is
highly recommended.
10-
Deadlines: All required documents & fees must be sent
to EAIMS on time otherwise your clerkship will be
cancelled.
C- Registration:
At the Medical
Education Development Center (MEDC), Faculty of Medicine
Kasr Alaini;

Orientation,
Registration (100 LE) and MCQ Exam:
3pm, Sun 30
Oct 2011: for 4th, 5th, 6th Med. students.
3pm, Mon 31
Oct 2011: for 3rd Med, and all Dental students.
B-
Interview Exams:
11am, Wed 2 Nov 2011: for 4th, 5th & 6th Year students.
11am, Thu 3 Nov 2011: for 3rd Med. Students, and all
Dental students.

Definition & Aims:
International Postgraduate Fellowships Program is a
bilateral program between EAIMS and other international
medical organizations, aiming to promote understanding and
cooperation amongst medical & dental physicians allover
the world through the exchange-training fellowships for
foreign and Egyptian medical & dental physicians.
B-
Exchange Conditions:
1-
Level of Studies: Certified Postgraduate Fellowships for Master Degree or
MD Degree holders working at Kasr Alaini Medical or Dental
Faculty – Cairo University.
2-
Medical/Dental Fields:
All are available. Legally; applicants will be Observers.
3-
Duration of Fellowship:
one calendar month (4 weeks) October or November 2012, (6
working hours daily, 5 days a week & 2 days weekend).
4-
Language:
English. German is a must in Pediatrics, Psychiatry in
Germany & Austria.
5-

Registration:

All Original Required Documents & Fees must be introduced
by hand to the concerned EAIMS Coordinator (Dr. Mona Zaki:
01020013310). Also all documents must be sent via Email as
scanned attachments to (eaims_gm@yahoo.com).

Selection will be done according to qualifications of
applicants and availability at training departments.
Selection will be announced on EAIMS website
www.eaims.net .
Non-selected applicants will refund their Fees totally.

One month before travel: Official Invitation
Letters from our International Partner Faculties abroad
are expected to be received to start Visa regulations.
